Our Story

The Carway family (Mary, Des, Elena and Tola) live, work, and look at these amazing views everyday!

Sligo Sea Barn started as a wish ‘wouldn’t it be great to us these sheds again!’ Our hay barn, cow byre, and calf house had become idle and disused over time. Once home to cows ike Black Rosie, Linty, and Bluebell, our sheds have been lovingly renovated to give you a feeling of luxury with a very strong sense of farming, nature, the sea and the beauty around us. The Sligo Sea Barn is a truly special place built with very special friends, neighbours, and local tradesmen.

Local tradesmen along with ourselves have taken great pride in giving new life to a unique property in a very special location.

When you stay at our exclusive accommodation you will enjoy an oasis of peacefulness and beauty inside and out. There are three south-facing suites (sleeps four), two west-facing rooms (sleep two) and one east-facing single room. A large dining area, a semi-commercial kitchen and our wonderful mezzanine – where you can enjoy the beauty around you as you relax and ‘have the chat’. You might even see the cattle dancing and playing in the field beside you as the sun sets. You are spoiled for choice with beaches, unforgettable loop walks, and our private path to the sea. Our family have put our heart and soul into creating unique accommodation in a very beautiful location along the Wild Atlantic Way. We are passionate about farm and sea based tourism and hope to welcome guests long into the future.
